Why we give

01

The founding

The Vaughn McClure Foundation was started in 2020 by Nicholas T. Gialamas, Vaughn’s best friend from college, to honor his memory and his legacy.

02

Two names, one cause

In 2021, our dear friend, board member, honorary chairman, and fellow ESPN reporter for the Chicago Bears, Jeff Dickerson, passed from colon cancer.

03

The goal

Jeff and Vaughn were more than friends. They were like brothers, and now their names are linked together forever for a great cause.

Questions, answered.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. The Vaughn McClure & Jeff Dickerson Foundation is a registered nonprofit, and you’ll receive an emailed receipt for your records as soon as your gift goes through.

Where does my money go?

Donations are distributed to the causes Vaughn and Jeff cared about: heart disease, cancer, and mental health research, and journalism scholarships at Northern Illinois University, Buffalo Grove High School, and Conant High School.

Can I change or cancel a monthly gift?

Anytime. Use the “Manage my giving” link in any receipt email, or visit /donate/manage to sign in with your email. No account or password needed.

Can I give in honor or memory of someone?

Yes. Checkout includes an optional dedication field, and we’ll include it on your receipt.

What about sponsorships or larger gifts?

We’d love to talk. Email carla@tvmjdfoundation.org about benefit sponsorships, corporate matching, and gifts of stock.
